Summer Fun Cont.

Late May:  Memorial Day Weekend

Geoff's tennis season wound up with a flourish - and found us at the UW Tennis Center for the state tennis tournament Labor Day weekend.  Geoff's mom & dad came for Friday and Saturday.  Saturday evening found us with a quick visit to Geoff's Auntie Marie's there in Seattle, and then we all met at Geoff's sister Laurie & Lance's new place overlooking Hoquiam, WA.

This was the first time for Aislyn to meet Auntie Ree - and she sure warmed up in a hurry.  Thanks for a wonderful visit Auntie Ree!

We own a house in Hoquiam that Geoff bought right out of college...Had he known he was going to move to Pullman 2 years later, well let's say hind-sight is 20-20.  We have rented it for 6 yrs to the same family who recently decided to move out.  So, this also turned out to be a business trip to see how bad of condition the house was in.  What we found wasn't terrible, but definitely wasn't great news.

Yes, there is a whole in the floor between the toilet and the bath.
The rest of the weekend was spent having fun with family.

Uncle Lance & Cousin Maddie

Cousin Jake & Aislyn

Grammy Barb wearing many hats!

Kort did a great job of playing with and entertaining our daughter.

Teaching the chillen's how to play billiards on the phone!

Jake was also quite adept in the entertainment business.

Sydney took a while to overcome her shyness, but once she did we had a lot of fun!

The kids - that's right, Geoff is still one of them!

We even found time to go to the beach, where the breeze was lazy, but just strong enough to lift a kite

Aislyn's first trip to the Pacific Ocean was a lot of fun and she even got her feet wet!

And last Aislyn really loved her Grammy.

  1. Love the one of Grammy and her 'many hats!' Fun to finally see updates and so great to just spend a couple days with you.
